  • Entrepreneur

Ragnar Evensen AS was a Norwegian construction company founded in Oslo in 1924 by civil engineers Ragnar Evensen (1897–1978) and Einar Ring. The original name was Ring & Evensen. From 1931 Evensen was the sole proprietor, and the company changed its name. It was converted into a joint stock company in 1960. Together with Høyer-Ellefsen, the company also started construction activities in East Africa (Noremco, later taken over by Veidekke).

In 1995, the previously family-owned company was taken over by, among others, OBOS, and in 1997 Ragnar Evensen joined the AF Group as an independent subsidiary. In 2006, the AF Group's subsidiaries were merged into the new AF Skandinavia.
